According to Military analysts in the four major Israeli newspapers, Israeli warplanes attacked Syria, last Friday night. This raid came to convey “a clear and strong political message, stating that a permanent Iranian military base would never be established on Syrian territories, even if this would entail a military escalation.” The analysts in Yedioth Ahronoth, Israel Hayom, Maariv and Haaretz, as well as on television, stated that the raid was preceded by the leaked photos of the target, a military base to the BBC some three weeks earlier. Israel sees Arab world’s democracy as “threat,” says ex-MK

An Egyptian lawyer who said girls wearing ripped jeans should be raped was arrested and sentenced to three years of imprisonment. He was also fined 20,000 Egyptian pounds for making the remarks after a public outcry. Assad regime airstrikes kill 8 civilians in East Ghouta

At least eight civilians were killed Saturday when forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad in Syria attacked residential areas in Eastern Ghouta, a Damascus suburb, Anadolu Agency correspondents reported from Damascus. The regime airstrikes targeted Haresta, Madyara, Arbin and Misraba areas, the correspondents said, adding six civilians were killed in Arbin, while two women were killed in Haresta.
